Day 1.
Arrival to
Erevan. Transfer and hotel accommodation. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2.
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel meet
your tour guide and start city tour round Yerevan which is located in ARARAT
valley lying under the feet of the majestic mount ARARAT on the Noah's route.
The ancient and at the same time modern capital of Armenia was founded in 782
BC and is even 29 years older than the eternal city of Rome. First we visit
Matenadaran (Armenian for "library", UNESCO World Heritage Site) - a
unique repository of ancient manuscripts, which has a high ideal value for
Armenia. It's an indescribable feeling to get the strange dusty smell of old
manuscripts in the nose and let the fingers slide over admiring ornate leather
bindings with silver ornaments.
Afterwards visit of Cafesjian Center
for the Arts, enjoying the marvelous collection of glass, painting, and
sculpture, print and drawing. Afterwards enjoy the panorama of Cascade
Monument. Proceed to Opera House visiting the roundabouts: State Conservatory,
the Monument "Men” in the Saryan Park.
Drive to Garni temple (1stA.D.)
which is the only "witness" of Hellenistic Epoch in the territory of
CIS. It's the only standing temple in the territory of Armenia which has been
preserved after Armenia adopted Christianity in 301. It's dedicated to the
powerful pagan God of sun called Mithra. Continue tour to Gegard Monastery
(12-13th centuries). Geghard was initially known as Ayrivank (Cave Monastery).
The name refers to the biblical lance with which a Roman soldier pierced
Christ's body. Hundreds of Khachkars and caves are built in the rocks
surrounding the Monastery. Geghard and the Upper Azat Valley are inscribed on
the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Return to Yerevan. Overnight in the
hotel (Yerevan).
Day 3.
Breakfast
at the hotel. Trip to the "Armenian Pearl" - Lake Sevan which is the
2nd high-altitude and largest lake in the world with its sweet and
astonishingly blue water.
The guests have here the opportunity to enjoy
lake cruise onboard a catamaran or taste famous Armenian fish "Sig” and "Ishkhan”
on Sevan peninsula (optional for extra fee, catamaran rent - 75 $ (for 1 hour),
foreseen for max. 15 persons).
Drive to Dilijan. Walking tour in Old Dilijan. We always advise to have
a walk in this beautiful city and not to lose the chance to see the narrow
colorful streets of Old Dilijan. Visit of Yu. Kirillova has said: '' If there
are woods, mountains and mineral waters in paradise, it will be like in
Dilijan''.
Visit of Haghartsin Monastery in Dilijan, one of the religious and
educational centers in medieval Armenia (10-13th centuries). Transfer to
Bagratashen Border.

Arrival to Tbilisi. Hotel
accommodation.
Day 4.
Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour in Tbilisi. Cathedral
"Metekhi" - founded in the 13th century. Next to the church is a
monument to the city's founder Vakhtang Gorgasal. Metekhi is a true symbol of
the Georgian faith, culture and history. Thereafter by cable route we are just
in a few minutes will go up to the fortress "Nariqala", where stunning
views of the legendary capital of Georgia will be opened before you. Narikhala
fortress is the citadel in the heart of old town. It was the main fortress of
the city for the 15th century. Cathedral "Sameba" - a symbol of the
Georgian revival, unity and immortality. It stands in the center of Tbilisi on
top of Mount St. Ilya.
Visiting the
structure of the Italian architect – Bridge of Peace. On the left bank of the
bridge there is Sioni church, founded in the 6th century.
Optional: Next,
we relax a bit by visiting Sparkling Wine Factory "Bagrationi 1882", here
you will have tasting of 12 kinds of sparkling wine with cheese and Georgian bread (extra feel
USD 35 per 1 person)
Transfer
to the national restaurant, where you will have dinner with Georgian dishes and
entertaining program. Overnight in hotel.
Day 5.
Breakfast
in the hotel. Departure to Mtskheta – ancient capital of Georgia, UNESCO
heritage, indescribably majestic and ancient city. Visit to Cathedral
Svetitskhoveli (XII century) - the most important religious center and the
biggest ecclesiastic construction of mediaeval Georgia, was built in 1010-1029.
Monastery Samtavro(XI century) is built on the place where "Zemo Ecclesia” (Upper Church) in IV c.
The first Christian royal couple - Mirian and Nana was buried here.
Going
up to the monastery Jvari (V century) – outstanding monument of Georgian
architecture was one of the greatest religious sites and a center of pilgrimage
for Christian nations of the Caucasus.
Here you will enjoy beautiful view of an ancient
capital.
Optional: You will visit wine cellar of
national peasant family, testing Georgian wine and chacha + lessons of national
cuisine (USD 30 per person).
Return to Tbilisi. Overnight in hotel.
Day 6.
Breakfast
in a hotel. Departure to the western part of Georgia – Kakheti, wine region.
Tour in Sighnaghi - city of love. Sighnaghi itself is a beautiful fortified
hillside medieval town and wonderful to walk in. Visit to Bodbe monastery.
Optional: Visiting winery and tasting
different sorts of wine and Georgian vodka – chacha, try the tastiest Kakhetian
dishes + lessons of bread making + master class of making the most famous
Georgian sweets – churchkhela (extra fee).
Arrival back to Tbilisi. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 7.
Breakfast in a
hotel. Transfer
to airport. End of service and happy return home.
